The exchange of workforce between Bulgaria and Romania - the mission is possible

The implementation of the project "Building a sustainable model and partner network to support employment and labour mobility in the cross border area Bulgaria-Romania" under the Interreg VA Romania-Bulgaria program has started. The project is for the total amount of EUR 593,492.79, of which EUR 504,468.87 are from EU funding. The project is being implemented by the Industrial Association - Veliko Tarnovo, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Navigation and Agriculture - Constanta (Romania) and the Bulgarian Industrial Association - Union of Bulgarian Business. The project was formally presented at a press conference on July 18, 2017, in Veliko Tarnovo. Its main objective is to facilitate interaction and cooperation in providing the appropriate labor force between the areas of Veliko Tarnovo, Dobrich, Silistra, (from Bulgaria), and Constanta, Calarasi, Dolj, Mehedenti (from Romania), focusing on the sectors - Tourism, Construction, Manufacturing, Transport, Post and Logistics and Agriculture and Forestry. An Information Portal (http://jobmobility.info) will be set up to raise awareness of employment opportunities in the cross-border region Bulgaria - Romania, which has a common database for the areas, enterprises, jobs, competent catalogs of positions with potential for labor mobility, evaluation and development of the competencies of the laborforce.
